To provide our clients with quality animals Kilmainhan:
- regularly monitors the progress of Kilmainhan bulls to report information accurately to Breedplan
- achieves MN2 herd status under the Australian Cattle Johne’s Disease Market Assurance Program
- provides raw data on the attributes of our bulls including birth weights, growth weights, scanning information (EMA and fat cover), frame score and scrotal measurements so that the actual performance of our bulls are known
- handles our cattle regularly with a number halter broken each year to give clients quite, tractable bulls
- seeks independent assessment of the structure of our bulls to minimize structural faults
- tests for tenderness and marbling to enhance the carcass information available on Kilmainhan bulls
- uses no growth hormones.
